Time to change how we offer feedback

When supervising new coaches, I have been using and training the SKS feedback model (also knowns as Start/Stop/Continue). [https://hbr.org/2011/08/three-questions-for-effective-feedback]

Today I observed a coach and really didn't have any "Stop" suggestions. I had feedback, but it was meant for him to consider when and whether to use it, not simply to stop it.

So, I want to offer a new "Consider" column to the SKS template: Something that's not meant for action, but for thought. For example: does is make sense to offer the client questions aimed at resolving an issue or helping them delve deeper into introspection about the cause of the issue? Both are good options - what's important is to know that the coach isn't limited to any one path.

How do you use the SKS model? Would adding "Consider" to it be helpful to you?
